Authors/Creators
Description
This paper presents a collection of hardware-based technologies for live performance developed by women over the last few decades. The field of music technology and interface design has a significant gender imbalance, with men greatly outnumbering women. The purpose of this paper is to promote the visibility and representation of women in this field, and to encourage discussion on the importance of mentorship and role models for young women and girls in music technology.
