Prisoner Dilemma and Psychopathy

Description

This file contains data from 60 university students who played 40 rounds of the Prisoner Dilemma in 30 different matches.  The variables and their descriptions are:

1 - matchnum: an indicator of the people who were matched with a partner

2 - gametype: an indicator if the players were: (1) both low in psychopathy, (2) both high in psychopathy, (3) one low and one high psychopathy

3 - round: 1 - 40

4 - pax:  unique participant identifier

5 - self-defect: 1 = defect, 0 = cooperate

6 - points: payoff/winnings

7 - selfhighp: indicator if the participant was high or low psychopathy

8 - oppdef_prev: indicator if the opponent defected in the previous round

9 - matchtype: a three-category recoding of gametype where High-Low and Low-High pairings are combined as mixed.

10 - opp_highp: indicator if the opponent was high or low psychopathy

11 - mixedmatch: a binary categorization of matchtype (1 = mixed, 0 = homogeneous)
