Potentialities of Peripheral Territories
Description
Brazilian peripheries are frequently portrayed with an emphasis on their vulnerabilities and the lack of public policies. However, Brazilian favelas and peripheries demonstrate remarkable resilience, facing daily challenges through local initiatives that support their populations. This project is dedicated to systematizing and valuing these initiatives, highlighting the strategies that peripheral communities adopt to overcome limitations and achieve their life and survival goals.
To strengthen, disseminate, and expand these networks of action, we have structured a system that identifies and maps the potentialities of Brazilian favelas and peripheries, with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of these territories.
