ПСИХОЛОГІЧНИЙ СУПРОВІД АДАПТАЦІЇ ПЕРШОКУРСНИКІВ ДО НАВЧАННЯ У ВИШІ

Article deals with the problem of the first year students’ adaptation to studying  and their adaptation potential.  Students’  adaptation to studying the higher educational establishment is a  complex process and its success depends on some internal and external factors.  Among these factors one can distinguish the quality  of professional education and  the level of student’s personal development. Thus, the necessity of conducting of  psychological assistance for the first year students as well as developing their  adapting potential is grounded. The psychological assistance for the first year students based on competence  personal-developmental approach should be fulfilled by higher educational  establishment’s psychological service. This assistance includes the system of such  interconnected activities as diagnostics of first year students’  adaptation level;  development of students’  adapting potential; diminishing of complications in the  process of students’  adaptation to studying; involving students into different events  aimed to developing their initiative and social competence.  The program of  psychological assistance is represented. This program must be fulfilled on three  main levels  –  with students, with tutors, and with student activists. Prompt  realization of program’s main tasks allows to increase considerably the indices of personal adapting potential of the first year students as well as to improve the  process of their adaptation to studying at higher educational establishment.
