Description
An overview of the dwarfgobies in the genus Eviota is presented. Background information is provided on the taxonomic history, systematics, reproduction, ecology, geographic distribution, genetic studies, and speciation of dwarfgobies. Future research directions are discussed. A list of all valid species to date is included, as well as tables with species included in various cephalic sensory-pore groupings.
