Muḥîṭ-i-a’żam (محيط اعظم).

The great ocean, a mystical mathnawî or rather a kind of sâḳînâma, interwoven with short tales, by Bîdil, beginning:

خوش آندم كه در بزمگاه قدم

مئ بود بى نشاء و كيف و كم

The title is a chronogram for A.H. 1078 (A.D. 1667, 1668), see the prose-preface of the following copy (fol. 33b, l. 5: سال اتمام بنامش مدغم). Dated the 19th of Shawwâl, A.H. 1161 (A.D. 1748, Oct. 12).
