Description

Easily parsable NCBI Taxonomy database in Feather format. The data in the repository contains two data dumps, "names. dump" and "ranked lineage. dump," from https://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/pub/taxonomy/new_taxdump/. 

  1. names.feather contains organism names and their synonyms along with their taxonomy ID
  2. rankedlineage.feather contains taxonomy levels for a given taxonomy ID
