Description

This is the dataset for topographic control points in Canada. These control points acts as choke points for the flow of water during low flow and stops water from flowing. But during high flow season the water overtops from these points and flows easily. These points are critical which influence Fill-and-spill hydrology of the Canadian shield.

This folder contains:

  1. Choke_points_all.shp for all control points in Canada after the removal of misclassified data.

Fields:

Note: Contains the description of control points. What are these

StationNum: This is the station number of gauged watershed that is impacted by this choke point

NameNom: This is the name of the watershed which is impacted by this choke point

X_location, Y_location: Coordiante of location of control point

    2. Same data in the database Choke_points_gauged_ungauged

    3. Misclassified data are in two shapefiles Misclassified_chokepoints and Misclassified_chokepoints_1
