Results from the TIAM-ECN model runs for deliverable D5.2

The files contain a comprehensive overview of TIAM-ECN outputs for the runs carried out in D5.2 of the WHY project. We analyze the effect of linking an ESM (TIAM-ECN) with the WHY toolkit in the context of stringent decarbonization assumptions for Europe. Our modelling scenario, named C400-lin, assumes a global carbon market mechanism with the CO₂-price growing linearly from 130 to 580  $/tCO₂-eq between 2025 and 2050. We consider two variants of this scenario: a baseline variant (C400-Lin), and one in which we employ the WHY toolkit to estimate the effects (at global scale) of increasing power prices in the residential sector, as a policy measure to stimulate more efficient use of electricity (C400-Lin-WHY).
