Description

Microbes in soil play pivotal roles in element turnover, plant health, pathogen control, and pollution degradation within agroecosystems. While theoretical studies highlight the link between soil functions and bacterial communities, the lack of metagenomic evidence hinders practical applications in agroecosystem management. In our study, we reconstructed 4,370 metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) and 7,803 viral MAGs, revealing new insights into keystone microbes and their interactions with viruses. This work significantly advances our understanding of soil microbial dynamics and their impacts. Permission from the authors is required to use this dataset for publication purposes.
