Authors/Creators

Description

This dataset contains the metagenome-assembled genome (MAG) bin3 recovered from the gut of the termite Anacanthotermes turkestanicus (NCBI SRA: SRR35609719).

Files included:

· bin3.fa – nucleotide sequences of the MAG
· bin3.faa – predicted protein sequences (Prokka annotation).
· bin3.gff – gene annotation in GFF format.
· alignment_for_TYGS.phy – multiple sequence alignment of 120 conserved marker proteins used for phylogenetic inference (TYGS).

Key results:
The genome represents a novel candidate genus within the phylum Bacteroidetes, with the closest relatives being Psychroflexus salinarum, Brumimicrobium mesophilum, and Flavobacterium rivulicola (TYGS analysis: dDDH = 43.1%, well below the species threshold of 70%).
