Phase-Locked Toroidal Resonance Traps for Enhanced Antimatter Storage
Authors/Creators
Description
This whitepaper presents an innovative approach to antimatter storage and accumulation
by integrating conventional trapping techniques with principles from the Unified Harmonic
Field Framework (UHFF). The core concept involves phase-locked toroidal resonance traps
that leverage harmonic standing-wave nodes, golden-ratio frequency spacing, and quaternionic
phase tuning to achieve superior phase coherence, suppress decoherence mechanisms such
as thermal fluctuations and surface annihilation, and create high-quality factor (high-Q)
containment volumes for positrons and antiprotons. Drawing on UHFF’s emphasis on toroidal
energy storage, phase reservoirs, and constructive alignment through rational frequency ratios,
this framework aims to extend storage lifetimes and improve capture efficiencies beyond
traditional Penning or Paul traps. A theoretical sketch, experimental roadmap, diagnostics,
and safety considerations are provided, offering a phased pathway from simulation to scaled
implementation. This work hypothesizes significant advantages in antimatter handling for
applications in fundamental physics, propulsion, and energy research, while addressing key
challenges and regulatory requirements.
