ROLE OF TEXTILE INDUSTRY IN EMPLOYMENT GENERATION - AN ANALYTICAL REVIEW OF UZBEKISTAN
Description
The present study focuses on analyzing the role of the textile industry in promoting employment opportunities in Uzbekistan. It does so by examining the increase in the number of textile production units over the study period, highlighting the industry's significant contribution to the nation's economy. A unique aspect of this study is the comparison of sector-wise employment generation, with a specific emphasis on the growth of textile manufacturing units. The study aims to identify the level of growth within the textile sector and its role in fostering productive employment in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Additionally, it attempts to analyze how the expansion of the textile industry has contributed to creating a substantial number of job opportunities over a defined period.
