Summary. Ecclesiastical cultural heritage is an invaluable asset for every community. Protecting, preserving, and researching it has become an imperative in our time. Its loss would not only 
diminish the settlement’s identity but also erode national identity.
In Sângera, a small town in Chișinău Municipality, Assumption of the virgin Mary Church is a 
significant historical landmark. Despite its importance, it has not been the focus of extensive research. By utilizing archival records and specialized literature, we have reconstructed the history of this 
19th-century ecclesiastical building.
This article aims to shed light on the historical background of this church in Sângera, emphasizing key aspects such as its architecture, ecclesiastical heritage, and the roles of its priests.
