Description

Abstract: Cosmetics brands are committed to resorting to mature women to promote their products and, occasionally, to acclaimed actresses as an advertising gimmick. This is the case of L’Oréal Paris in relation to its ‘Age Perfect’ product line. The main aim here is to examine how this brand sometimes resorts to actresses aged over 55 to represent mature women.
