Type locality: Off the Meangis Islands, north of Papua.

Distribution. World: Meangis Islands (Stebbing 1888), North Pacific Ocean (Shih et al. 1971), North Atlantic Ocean (Bellan-Santini & Costello 2001), New Zealand (Webber et al. 2010), India (Zeidler 2003).
