Evaluation: Measuring intervention effects in visitor management
Description
- Evaluation in the context of applied research is the empirical assessment of intervention effects.
- The evaluation is done through appropriate experimental designs. In the process, internal validity (theoretical meaningfulness) and external validity (statements about the real world) must often be weighed up.
- Quasi-experimental field studies are well suited if sufficient temporal and/or spatial-situational differences are taken into account.
