Description

In this study, an analysis of a Steam Line Break (SLB) accident for the SMART Reactor is conducted with the main objective of testing and comparing two different couplings: TRACE-PARCS and TRACE-PANTHER. The investigation is performed using these two tools, where the Thermal-Hydraulics are modeled using TRACE, and the neutronics are modeled using nodal diffusion codes PARCS in one coupling and PANTHER in the other. The study compares the main variables predicted by the coupled simulations for the accident scenario.
