## Description of the Data and file structure

Excel file with tube id (species name, location and bird number-eg tupuBI001 is a tufted puffin from Buldir Island (see population in column B) and bird number 1; population is the geopraphic location (lat and long are in columns S and T); and genotypes in a two column format.  Loci are listed with each allele (CMms9a is allele 1 at that locus and CMms9b is allele 2 at at locus).  Full details of the loci are in the publication.

Missing data are scored as -9.
