Steam Line Break sequence analysis in NuScale using TRACE/PARCS

Within the MCSAFER Project framework, the UPM research group has developed a TRACE/PARCS model pursuing the aim to demonstrate the applicability of this advanced modeling tool to a double ended guillotine Steam Line break sequence in the NuScale Small Modular Reactor. To do so, a TRACE model based on the usage of 1D components coupled with a 3D PARCS model have been developed. The results shown similar trends than expected demonstrating that the safety limits are not violated at any case.
