This data set consists of files used in the creation of the paper "Estimating response times, flow velocities and roughness coefficients of Canadian Prairie basins"
by Kevin R. Shook, Paul H. Whitfield, Christopher Spence, and John W. Pomeroy.

It contains the following files:
readme.txt - this file
code.zip - Rmarkdown notebooks used to analyse data and produce tables and graphs
data.zip - Data used in the analyses
output.zip - Outputs from the analyses, as well as the summary tables used in the paper


The file data .zip is the largest and most complex. It contains the following folders:
/GIS - GIS data on the research basins containing the following sub-folders:
   /GIS/dems - files used by Whitebox to establish the maximum channel length of each stream
   /GIS/QGIS_files - QGIS projects, mainly used to create the site maps
   /GIS/shapefiles - shapefiles of the basins, the areal wetland extents, the basin topographic type and the WSC station locations


/StDenis_flows - gauged flows at St. Denis Research Basin
/WSC_hourly_streamflows - hourly gauged streamflows for the research basins from the Water Survey of Canada
