New record of Comatricha alta Preuss (Stemonitaceae, Stemonitales) from Brazil

Comatricha alta was found in samples from a Cerrado ecosystem located in the State of Goiás, Brazil. This record was obtained as part of the study of the myxobiota from Chapada dos Veadeiros. Although it is known on five continents, until now its distribution in the Neotropics was restricted to Chile and Peru, this being the first finding for Brazil and the third record for the Neotropical region.
