This dataset contain aligned and curated sequences of modern and ancient Lasiopodomys used in 
"Ancient DNA of  narrow-headed voles reveal common features of the Late Pleistocene population dynamics in cold-adapted small mammals" 

File 'Lasiopodomys_ancient_mitogenomes.fa' contains partial mitogenomes and file 'Lasiopodomys_cytochrome_b.fas' contains 889 bp fragment of mtDNA cytochrome b.  

Sequence names consists of specimen ID and age. If 'e' prefix is present then the age was estimated using molecular approach if there is no prefix its a median of calibrated radiocarbon age.
