Main goal of rurAllure is the promotion of rural museums and heritage sites in the vicinity of European pilgrimage routes: https://rurallure.eu/project/about/ DS1 Collections of POI info sheets from rurAllure work packages The file contains 5 sheets: a 'metadata' sheet with data dictionary, and 1 sheet for each work package (WP). WPs are: WP4 - Literary heritage on the ways to Santiago de Compostela (Way of Saint James aka Camiño de Santiago) WP5 - Thermal heritage and others on the ways to Rome (Via Francigena, Romea Germanica and Romea Strata) WP6 - Ethnographic heritage on the ways to Trondheim (Saint Olav's Way) WP7 - Natural heritage on the ways to Csíksomlyó (Way of Mary) Dataset lists fields of POIs available in the rurAllure system, eg. GPS coordinates, rating, preferences, transport available, address, website link. A detailed data dictionary is available in the file sheet1: 'metadata'. DS4 Collections of answers to profiling questionnaires The project develops various questionnaires addressing pilgrims before their travel (in the trip planning phase) and during their trips. The questions look at socio-demographic information, general trip characteristics (e.g. means and length of travel), pilgrim’s interests, reasons and motivations, flexibility regarding dates, amenability to explore the rural surroundings of the official paths, etc. Some questions are related to the effect of COVID-19 on trip planning and realization. Questionnaires are managed both online and offline. Online versions are managed directly via LimeSurvey, while results of offline questionnaires are also uploaded to LimeSurvey. Surveys are available in different languages: English, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Spanish. During data collection no specific data sampling methods were applied, surveys were promoted via institutional channels. Data collection started Summer 2021 by project consortium members, and is an ongoing process during project lifetime. Laws and policies are classified by NUTS levels. The colours indicate the NUTS level of the certain law, where green stands for NUTS 1, blue for NUTS 2, and yellow for NUTS 3. DS6 provides GPS coordinates for many European pilgrim routes. For visualisation see: https://data-visualizer.rur.kifu.hu/routes. Contents for DS6: - high_res_routes: These are .gpx files of the routes sorted by country and route. Not all routes are included because some of them were made by hand (directly to .geojson). They were sourced from the official web pages of each route. - low_res_routes: These are the processed files to use in the aggregate. These are also sorted by country and route and include: .xlsx -> Names of each point in the map. .geojson -> File with the coordinates of each point. _output.xlsx -> A file generated through a script that outputs the information from the last two files in a format that fits the aggregate.
