This is a preprint of the communication paper, to be submitted to the journal Forest Policy and economics. It summarizes the policy-relevant findings from projects SINCERE and NOBEL. It presents challanges facing the supply of multiple forest ecosystem services in Europe, followed by opportunities on how this supply could be ensured and finally listing corresponding policy pathways
