Distribution in India: Meghalaya (Cherrapunji), West Bengal (Darjeeling), Sikkim (Hampson 1892); North East Himalaya (Holloway 1987). Global records: Nepal, southern and central China, northern Vietnam, northern Thailand, Myanmar (Wu et al. 2017).

Remark: Zolotuhin & Pinratana (2005) erroneously mentioned the ‘male’ as holotype. Wu et al. (2017) stated that type is a female.
