The implications of the Proposed Data Act to B2G data sharing in smart cities

The potential of data has been the center of discussions, giving governments and businesses new possibilities to face old obstacles. As a result, the European Union has developed the European Data Strategy, a package of broad legislation that has the main objective of improving the free flow of data in the European economy. One of the Regulations of this package is the Data Act which is centered on the sharing of data between customers, enterprises, and the public sector. This study is centered on the Data Act Proposal, and the implications of business-to-government data-sharing provisions in smart cities, taking into consideration the most recent modifications made to the text.
