D9.3 - Progress report

The Deliverable D9.3 Progress Report describes the REINFORCE formative evaluation results, ie. intermediate evaluation data from the Zooniverse experience survey and the self-reflection exercise with all four demonstrator research teams. The feedback provided by the citizen scientists in the Zooniverse experience survey shows that the demonstrators are well accepted with only minor indications for things to improve. Citizen scientists enjoy their participation and feel confident about their contribution. The perceived difficulty is ideal in terms of the need for achievement for most demonstrators and should not be changed in the second phase of the demonstrators. Most experience a personal benefit and find that the project is useful per se. The majority think that their contribution is important for the success of the project. In the self- reflection exercise, both the implementation side with its processes and feasibility and the expected outcome and impact side were discussed together with the four demonstrator research teams in separate sessions. The results from the Zooniverse experience survey and the reflection exercise are summarised in the last section of the deliverable with recommendations for potential changes in the second phase of the demonstrators.
