Chibchanomys trichotis (Thomas, 1897). Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 6, 20:220.

TYPE LOCALITY: Colombia, "W. Cundinamarca."

DISTRIBUTION: Highlands in W Venezuela, Colombia, and Peru.

COMMENTS: Provenience of type, taxonomy, and distribution reviewed by Voss (1988).
