Files included in this repository are: - Appendix 1: Excel table with fossil data and modern occurrences used to build the climatic niche of the muskox and to validate the models. Sheet 1 and 3 contain the metadata associated with the fossil record (Sheet 2) and the modern occurrence record (Sheet 4) - Appendix 2: .zip file containing the data and code needed to run the process-explicit models. The R Markdown file included in the folder provides an example of how to build and run the models, using five climatic niches for muskox. Please follow the script, as it explains in detail all the steps required. - Appendix 3: supplementary table explaining how we calculated the human and climate metrics for the random forest analysis, whose results are presented in Figure 5 and Figure 6 of the manuscript.
