Description

One more year, it is a real pleasure to meet you at the International Congress on Public and Nonprofit Marketing. After a decade of fruitful discussions, the theme selected for this eleventh edition “Ethics, Sustainable Consumption and other Current Challenges for Public and Non-Profit Marketing” specifically relates to some of the main questions to be considered at a moment when substantial changes shall be faced in current socio-economic models, requiring from a multidisciplinary approach. The Congress objective is twofold: on one hand, to compile and edit the latest developments dealing with the different topics in the field; on the other one, to strengthen relationships among academics and professionals sharing a common interest in these areas of marketing discipline. Some sixty contributions, including full research papers and experimental junior papers by doctoral students finally succeeded the double blind peer review process and are presented in five tracks: Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in a Sustainable Marketing; Challenges for Sustainable Consumption; Challenges for Public Sector Marketing; Challenges for Social and Non-Profit Marketing; and Challenges for Current Marketing Practices.

We are happy to welcome the members of the Congress in Mykolas Romeris university, which is one of the biggest and most modern universities in Lithuania. The university is existing for a bit more than two decades. There are twenty-two thousand students studying in the university a growing part of which is students from abroad. Mykolas Romeris university is an entrepreneureal university positioning itself in an area of social technologies. Due to this reason, the fact that presentations about marketing innovations are described particularly in this university is a pattern rather than exception. We the Organizing Team at Mykolas University are ready to welcome nearly one hundred participants from twenty countries and to try our best for this event to become a real success. The charming atmosphere in Vilnius, Lithuanian Capital and former European Capital of Culture in 2009, will undoubtedly contribute to provide an unforgettable experience.
