Description

This release of TREX includes:

  • minor fixes to timestamp handling,
  • new functionalities for sapwood allometry:
    • a new dataset on sapwood characteristics for several North American species [1],
      see https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6862864 and ?TREX::allometry.data.
    • a new function predict_allometry() to predict sapwood area ($cm^2$), sapwood thickness ($cm$), and bark thickness ($cm$) from DBH for several North American species.

The sapwood allometry functionalities reflect novel research by Pappas et al. (2022) titled "Xylem porosity, sapwood characteristics, and uncertainties in temperate and boreal forest water use" (accepted in Agricultural and Forest Meteorology).
