This report presents a guide to selecting high-quality commercial antibodies against SPARC-related modular calcium-binding protein 1 (SMOC1) by immunoblot (Western blot) and immunoprecipitation on culture media using a standardized experimental protocol based on comparing read-outs in knockout cell lines and isogenic parental controls.
