Selectivity Coefficients of Sulphonic Acid Cation-exchange Resins in Sulphate Solution
Description
Selectivity coefficients of sulphonic acid cation-exchange resins for lithium-hydrogen, sodium-hydrogen, and potassium-hydrogen exchanges have been studied in sulphate solution (ca. 0.04 N) at the row temperature (ca. 30°). The effect of mole fraction of counter ion in the resin and the relative degree of cross-linking of the resin on the selectivity coefficients has been investigated and the results have been discussed.
