Title of Dataset: Data from: Identifying biotic drivers of population dynamics in a benthic–pelagic community

The data consist of field data on zooplankton abundances gathered during 2016, as well as the time-series used for the community model described in the manuscript. The original time series data are available from the Finnish Environment Institute (https://www.syke.fi/avointieto) and the environmental data from the Finnish Meteorological Institute. The manuscript contains more in-depth information on the data.

zooplankton.field.data.csv contains field data gathered 2016 by Louise Forsblom, Jonna Engström-Öst and Andreas Lindén from three stations (Storfjärden, Längden and Ajax). The data collection method is described in the paper. The copepod and caldoceran abundances in the table are expressed as ln transformed number of individuals per litre. The 2016 data collection was supported by Onni Talaan säätiö.

community.model.input.csv contains the time-series needed to reproduce the community models. The time-series are mean-centered and further description on the data can be found in the article
