Diagnosis. This species is similar to D. borealis, but has shorter malar space (about 0.25 × length of basal width of mandible), yellow upper hind corner of pronotum and tegulae, and shorter ovipositor (about 1.5–1.6 × length of hind tibia). Male has yellow tegulae (fig. 1, 2).
Flight period in Carpathians. May to September (1.05–16.09).
