Philodromus histrio (Latreille 1819)

Dupérré (CPAD); Baie­James (Jamésie): 110 km N LaSarre [49 ° 43 ’N, 79 ° 17 ’W] 22.– 29.vi. 1997, flight interception trap in regenerating Black spruce forest, 1 Ψ, P. Paquin & N. Dupérré (CPAD); Baie­James (Jamésie): 122 km NNE LaSarre [49 ° 48 ’N, 78 ° 54 ’W] 22.– 29.vi. 1997, Malaise/flight interception trap (pan) in regenerating Black spruce forest, 1 Ψ, P. Paquin & N. Dupérré (CPAD).

Diagnosis.— Males are distinguished by the short, pointed, retrolateral apophysis and females by the angular spermathecae (Dondale & Redner 1978).

Distribution.— Palearctic. Widespread species found from southern British Columbia to Nova Scotia, southward to Mexico (Dondale & Redner 1978).

Remark.— The present records confirm the occurrence of the species in Québec, which was suspected by Paquin & Dupérré (2003, figs 1995–1998).
