Remarks. This member of the Colossendeis macerrima complex has been recorded previously in this region by Stock (1991) and Bamber (2000; 2004 a; 2004 b), from 850 to 2110 m. It is a widely distributed Indo-Pacific species known also from the North-east Atlantic, with a depth range of 850 to 4850 m.
