Digital outcrop model of an igneous intrusion found by the western coast of Ekmanfjorden, beneath the mountain top Bertilryggen. The intrusion is emplaced at the transition from the late Permian Kapp Starostin Formation and the early Triassic Vardebukta Formation. The intrusions are part of the Diabasodden Suite, which represent the High Arctic Large Igneous Province on Svalbard. The presence of two host rock contacts can be inferred, but can’t be observed due to weathering and scree material covering the cliff face.
