Host-plants. Acer campestre L. in the Crimea; possibly also A. tataricum L. as in other regions. Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Submediterranean; the species occurs from France, Italy and Great Britain to Denmark, Crimea, and the Caucasus.

The species is rare in the Crimea: highly limited in distribution (occurs at higher elevations, in dense shady forests), not abundant mining.
