Bionomics. Mesophilous species, occurs in open valley forest along rivers, warm glades, wet meadows, among bushes. Bivoltine, flight period from V to VIII in two generations. Larva feeds on Phleum pratense, Poa altaica (Poaceae). Overwinters as pupa.
Distribution. Eurasian, subboreal. North China (Provinces Heilongjiang, Xinjiang).—Europe, Russia to Ural, through S Siberia and Transbaikalia, Far East, to Sakhalin and Kuriles.
