Host records. Meteorus ictericus is recorded on different lepidopteran families, with most records involving species of Tortricidae (Tobias 1971; Huddleston, 1980; Yu et al. 2012). It is reported as a parasitoid of Mompha conturbatella (Hübner) (Lepidoptera, Momphidae), Pyralis farinalis (Linnaeus) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), Bombyx sp. (Lepidoptera: Bombycidae) and hyperparasite of Gelis areator (Panzer) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) (Marshall 1885). It is also bred from Bryotropha domestica (Haworth) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) (Marshall 1885). In Norway, it is reared from Pandemis sp. (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) on Malus domestica (Stigenberg and Hansen 2013). It is also reared from Gracillaria syringella Fabricius, Caloptilia leucapennella (Stephens) (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae),? Ypsolopha parenthesella (Linnaeus) (Lepidoptera: Ypsolophidae), Acleris ferrugana (Denis & Schiffermüller), A. hastiana (Linnaeus), A. rufana (Denis & Schiffermüller), A. umbrana (Hübner),? A. variegana (Denis & Schiffermüller),? Ancylis upupana (Treitschke), A. xylosteana (Linnaeus), Archips podana (Scopoli), A. rosana (Linnaeus), Cacoecimorpha pronobana (Hübner), Croesia forsskaliana (Linnaeus), Ephiphyas postvittana (Walker), (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) (Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013).
