Key to the subgenera of Tragardhus

1. Body length: 4.5–6.0 mm. Center of pronotal disc with two pairs of rounded carinae (Fig. 2A). Epipleuron dilated apically, with roundish alveola at the level of fourth ventrite (Fig. 2C). Abdomen with fine punctures. Fifth abdominal ventrite simple (Fig. 2E). Second lobe of coxites trapezoidal, much smaller in size than paraproct (Fig. 5A)......... subgenus Tragardhus

-. Body length: 3.0– 4.5 mm. Pronotal disc simple, without rounded carinae (Fig. 2B). Epipleuron evenly narrowed towards apex, without any additional structures (Fig. 1N). Abdomen with coarse punctures. Fifth abdominal ventrite raised in apical third (Fig. 2D). Second lobe of coxites rounded laterally, nearly as large as paraproct (Fig. 5B)......... subgenus Mitragardhus
