Peromyia curta Jaschhof, 1997

The first Swedish specimens of this widespread Palearctic species (see Jaschhof & Jaschhof 2009) are reported here from three of the biological provinces in the country.

Previous distribution. widespread Europe (incl. Finland), Russia (Near East), Japan. Occurrence in Sweden: Småland, Östergötland, Uppland.

Specimens studied. SWEDEN: 3 males (CEC241–243), Småland, Högsby, Hornsö kronopark, birch fen, 30 July–10 Aug. 2004, Malaise trap, SMTP (trap 18, collecting event 344); male (CEC244), Östergötland, Ödeshög, Omberg, along Surmossevägen and Tillyvägen, tall mixed forest, 24–25 July 2009, sweepnet, M. & C. Jaschhof; male (CEC245), Uppland, Uppsala, Ekdalen NR, thin oak woodland, 18 Aug.–1 Sep. 2003, Malaise trap, SMTP (trap 27, collecting event 469).
