Current status. Valid, as Austrochthonius chilensis transversus Beier, 1964.
Remarks. Three other syntypes are probably housed in the NHMW. Further ‘paratypes’ were probably deposited in the NHMW (11 from locality Nr. 24, 8 from Nr. 19, 3 from Nr. 21, all specimens from localities Nr. 86, 52, 98 and 104).
