Lepidura olivacea Dasch, 1974. 18, 23, 476 (Original description, keyed, comparative illustration of metasoma); Lanfranco, 1974. 203 (Listed); Lanfranco, 1980. 79 (Listed).

Diagnosis: Antenna brown. Body mostly greenish brown. Head light green, supra-antennal and ocellar areas brown; Mesosoma greenish brown, except on lateral lobe of mesoscutum, depression of pronotal lobe and stripe on dorsal half of mesopleuron, darker brown. Metasoma greenish brown, with petiole, T2 and anterior region of T3 dark brown. Dorsal surface of T3–T5 and metasomal segments 6–9 light brown, including gonoforceps (males) and hypopygium and ovipositor sheath (females). Propodeum without areola, costula absent (Fig. 2). Vein 1mcu&(RS+M)b strongly angled. Ovipositor sheath comparatively wide.

Comments: The only difference between the male and female is the color of metasoma; in the male, dark brown on petiole and T2, and on T3–T9, yellowish green on ventral half while in the female it is light brown.

Type material: Holotype female (USU, examined).

Región de Magallanes y de la Antártica Chilena: Río Tres Pasos (Dasch, 1974; Lanfranco, 1974).
