Distribution. China (Guangdong, Yunnan), Vietnam.

Remarks. The male of this new species is similar to that of Z. flavotegulata (Chen, 1957), but differs from the latter mainly in having metasomal segments 1–3 ferruginous (metasoma wholly black in Z. flavotegulata); the tegula blackish-brown (yellowish-brown in Z. flavotegulata); in having metasomal tergum 2 with a narrow apical fringe of yellow setae (metasomal tergum 2 posterad with distinct band of appressed white setae in Z. flavotegulata); and having flagellomere 1 0.76 × flagellomere 2 length (0.85–0.92 × in Z. flavotegulata).

Etymology. This species is named after the well-known Chinese hymenopterist Prof. Xu Zai-fu (1965–2017), who died suddenly after a serious illness. The holotype of the new species was collected by him.
