Pasiphaea barnardi (Yaldwyn, 1971)

A relatively rare but widely distributed mesopelagic species of temperate waters in the Southern Hemisphere (Hayashi 2006), found in the sub-Antarctic AOI near the Falkland Islands: 52°05'S, 57°02'W at 980– 960 m (Burukovsky 1978), in the fjords of southern Chile (Guzmán 2014), sub-Antarctic and Antarctic waters (just south of the Antarctic Polar Front) south of Australia and New Zealand (Wasmer 1993; Basher & Costello 2014 as P. berentsae), and on the Campbell Plateau (Webber et al. 1990; Hayashi 2006).
