Examined material. 8 an. and 5 sh. (MACN-In 40663); holotype of Scissurella eucharista (NMSZ 1921.143.395).

Description. Shell width to 1.2 mm (up to 1.4 mm according to Zelaya & Geiger 2007); trochiform, delicate. Protoconch of 1.25 convex whorls; apex partially sunken. Teleoconch of up to 2.25 whorls, markedly convex in outline; last whorl comprising about 90% of total shell height. Suture deep, slightly channeled. Surface white; sculptured with weak, equally developed, prosocline axial and spiral sculpture, producing a cancellate pattern (eroded in the photographed specimen); in addition, 2 strong spiral cords delimiting selenizone. Aperture rounded, with small selenizone. Umbilicus wide, deep. Operculum rounded, multispiral; pale brown, translucent.
