Southern Baja California (26°37.2’N) (Cruz-Acevedo et al. 2018), Gulf of California (Iwamoto and Schneider in Fischer et al. 1995), to northern Peru (Chirichigno and Vélez 1998), including southern tip of Baja California (Iwamoto and Schneider in Fischer et al. 1995). Benthopelagic; depth: 116– 1,520 m (380–4,986 ft) (min.: Robertson et al. 2017; max.: Cruz-Acevedo and Aguirre-Villaseñor 2020).
